harakeye house

Centre Marembo receives street girls and victims of abuse found by police, the community, or local authorities. Centre Marembo staff also visits places in the city where street children are often found such as:  the market, public places, or around bus stations.
The Centre then proceeds with the children who are willing to leave the life on the streets behind. Centre Marembo groups the children into two houses based on the expected rehabilitation period.

Harakeye House is a house for girls which focuses on changing their behavior. These children are still experiencing the trauma resulting from their violent past. These girls may be drug users and may have psychosocial difficulties.

In Harakeye House the beneficiaries get access to shelter, food, counselling, and health support. We look after their basic needs.
